As they believe, Katsuoji in Minoh is watched over by Daruma dolls. These dolls are known as kachi-daruma which means winning daruma.
It’s funny that my impression of daruma dolls is horrifying rather than pleasing because of the horror movie As The God’s Will (look it up!). But when I visited Katsuoji, I laughed at how flipped the movie was. lol.
Katsuoji, aside from being known by its daruma dolls and the good luck it gives to businesses, accomplishments, love, and etc. is also known for its wonderful autumn foliage.
